New recruitment for Renewable Sweden®

With a passion for renewable energy, a wide network of contacts and extensive experience from the wind power industry, Jakob Economou steps into a key role at Renewable Sweden. As business area manager for onshore wind power and senior environmental and licensing consultant, he will play a central role in increasing Sweden's access to sustainable energy.

Renewable Sweden strengthens its team with Jakob Economou, who has assumed the role of business area manager for onshore wind power and senior environmental and permit consultant. With over nine years of experience in the wind power industry, both in project development and permit processes, Jakob brings solid expertise, a wide network of contacts and a strong commitment to renewable energy.

Jakob comes from Eolus AB, where he has been project manager for several major wind power projects, including Marbäck in Ulricehamn. He has also worked on repowering projects at Kadevind AB and has been association manager for both the Swedish Wind Power Association and Skånes Vindkraftsakademi.

“We are very pleased to welcome Jakob to Renewable Sweden. His experience in both strategic project work and practical permit management is a great asset for our investment in onshore wind energy,” says Jeanette Lindeblad, CEO of Renewable Sweden.

Jakob holds a master's degree in landscape architecture for sustainable urbanization from SLU Alnarp, and has previously held roles in both the public sector and energy companies. He is known for his structured way of working, his drive and his ability to communicate complex issues in a clear manner.

In his new role, Jakob will once again have the opportunity to work broadly — from project development to strategic collaborations to help ensure that Sweden has access to more renewable energy.
