Jeanette Lindeblad from Falkenberg and CEO of Renewable Sweden, has been awarded the Swedish Wind Power Association's Wind Power Award 2025. Her work has always been characterised by a strong belief that renewable energy is the key to a sustainable future and her involvement in several industry associations and associations, including as chair of Swedish Wind Energy. This has given her a broad understanding of the challenges and opportunities that exist in renewable energy.
Jeanette has a solid background in renewable energy and has worked with both onshore and offshore wind power as well as large-scale solar power. Before she founded Renewable Sweden in 2018 together with Mikael Palmqvist, Lindeblad had several years of experience in the industry. She has also been involved in several trade associations and associations, including as chair of Svensk Vindkraft. This commitment has given her a broad understanding of the challenges and opportunities that exist in renewable energy. Her work has always been characterized by a strong belief that renewable energy is the key to a sustainable future.
I am honored and grateful to receive this award. With my long experience, I know that things go up and down in the industry, but on the whole the development is moving forward. I have seen how wind power has evolved from a niche technology to a central part of our energy mix. It has been a journey filled with challenges, but also of amazing progress and innovation. I am proud to be a part of this change and look forward to continuing to work for a greener future. Together, we can create a world where renewable energy is not just an option, but a matter of course for future generations.”
Onshore wind will continue to play a crucial role in the energy mix of the future. It offers a quick and cost-effective solution to increase electricity generation and meet rising demand. Repowering, or upgrading existing wind turbines, is another important aspect of the future of wind power. By replacing older turbines with more modern and efficient models, we can increase production and extend the life of wind farms. This contributes to a more sustainable and resource-efficient energy production.
The future of wind power looks bright with several exciting developments on the horizon. Technology continues to improve with larger and more efficient turbines, as well as innovative solutions such as floating wind turbines. Smart wind turbines that use AI to optimize production are also part of the landscape of the future. Hybrid solutions, which combine wind power with other renewable energy sources such as solar power, offer additional opportunities for optimizing energy production. These systems can generate electricity from multiple sources and help create a more stable and flexible energy system.
This award is a recognition of the hard work and passion that our entire team at Renewable Sweden puts into promoting a sustainable future. I look forward to continuing to work with our fantastic team and partners to drive development forward and create a sustainable future for all.
The Swedish Wind Power Association's Wind Power Award is awarded by the trade association to recognize and reward outstanding achievements in the wind power sector. The award aims to highlight innovations, sustainability initiatives and significant contributions to the development of wind energy in Sweden. It can be awarded to individuals, companies or projects that have made a noticeable difference in the field and contributed to promoting the role of wind power in the Swedish energy mix.
