If the government does not act, the industry brings forward the proposals

Sharing the value of wind today is a matter of course in most wind power projects. How this is done differs greatly and there are many different solutions. The incentive study The value of wind was a step in creating clarity for local residents and municipalities about what to expect in return from a wind farm.

The Government received in April 2023 the incentive investigation The Value of the Wind by investigator Ulrika Liljeberg. The study included a number of concrete proposals, some of which are relatively easy to create concepts and rules of the game around. Although the government has now been working on the issue for a year, the proposals still shine with their absence.

But the expansion of wind power can't wait, we who work in the industry want at least some of the rules of the game in place now. Renewable Sweden has therefore developed Wind Value, a concept that is in line with the proposal of the incentive study and can be used by project developers already today.
