The Takenehöjden wind farm has now submitted an application for an environmental permit to the Environmental Assessment Delegation at the County Administrative Board in Örebro County. The project, which includes 12 wind turbines with a maximum height of 290 meters, has been developed over several years with the goal of contributing to the local energy supply and strengthening the electricity grid in the region.
Wind power projects in line with energy and climate goals
Takenehöjden wind farm contributes to both national and international energy and climate goals. Sweden aims to achieve 100% fossil-free electricity generation and zero net greenhouse gas emissions by 2045, and the EU has set itself the goal of becoming climate neutral by 2050.
The project is also in line with Värmland's energy and climate strategy, which aims to make the region climate neutral by 2030 and a net producer of renewable electricity.
