To experience what is not yet there

Visual impact is often what ultimately determines how a wind farm is designed or whether it gets permission at all. Therefore, it is important to be able to show at an early stage how your project will be experienced.

Year after year, we have noted the need to be able to visually view projects — before they are built. It is becoming more and more central to both the permitting and anchoring process. How can you see something that doesn't exist? The answer is called Preview™ — a palette of visual solutions.

To get a complete picture of a project, different types of visual products are needed. Some images are best done in analog — in large format on screens. Others are experiences rather than images -- in digital form such as panoramas or virtual worlds. On screen or in VR set. The combination provides an unbeatable clarity that both facilitates and legitimizes the work of obtaining permits. We call these products Preview.

Here you can download our folder about Preview™.

Preview Photo visualisation

This is the classic photo visualization we often see in consultation meetings and project websites. These images are produced in two stages. To begin with, we go out on site and take pictures. Next, we create image objects based on digital models of the proposed wind turbines. The camera settings are based on the human eye. Positions, heights, etc. are obtained from the available geodata. The result is two-dimensional images of what the wind farm will look like.

Preview Animation

In our animations, we start from the photo visualization, but add moving turbine blades and obstacle lighting. In other words, the pictures are brought to life. They are delivered as looping film clips.

Preview Panorama

Visualizations are supposed to be considered in large format, but often we are limited by physical space. Preview™ Panorama is a digital exhibition room where we mounted images on giant screens. It enables anyone with a VR set to visit your extraordinary exhibition. As long as you have internet access, you can also experience the room in 2D via the browser on your computer, phone or tablet.

Preview Stereoscopic VR

With this VR experience, you can view the wind farm with great precision before it is built. We select three to five points from where we shoot with a 360° camera. Next, we insert models of the wind turbines, just like in ordinary photo visualization. This time the works are 3D models and not 2D images. The end result is a moving, stereoscopic experience, which involves different subjects for the left and right eye. In this way we reach a natural depth adapted to the functioning of the human eye. We produce two versions — one for day and one for night. You can easily select the version using the built-in panel in the Preview app. You control it with your fingers. You don't even need a controller, as the VR set detects the position of your hands. To take the experience a step further, we can also add atmospheric noise. As if you were there -- as close to reality as you can get.

Preview Virtual world

In the VR set, you will find yourself in your virtual wind farm, which can most closely resemble a computer game. Based on geodata, map data, photographs and specifications provided by manufacturers, we have recreated the entire park with its surroundings. Like a digital model. Compared to Preview™ Steroscopic 3D, this VR world is not photorealistic in the same way, as all you see are digital objects. However, you have a completely different flexibility — for example, you can choose the time of day, weather, season and the position you want.
